Nick Broomfield Doco – The Kingsnorth Six

Just came across this Nick Broomfield doco on the Guardian website.

It’s bloody annoying because the Guardian’s media player is crap. You can’t jump forward, or back and the player on the front page is smaller than my thumb.

Don’t let that put you off cause its a nice example of a web documentary.

A Time Comes: The story of the Kingsnorth Six

Acclaimed film-maker Nick Broomfield’s documentary about the ‘Kingsnorth Six’, the environmental activists who scaled a tower at a coal-fired power station in protest against pollution in 2007. The resulting court case drew support for them from leading scientists, and their subsequent acquittal proved historic and changed government policy.

  1. “You can’t jump forward, or back”..? You can drag the blue block on the player to go forward or back, although you have to wait while the video downloads… I’m not into video but it is a worthwhile watch.

  2. Hmmm maybe it is because of the Mac, the slider works ok on my Windows machines under Firefox.
