Duckrabbit were hired to produce a series of TV adverts and photography for Oxfam’s 2012 national ‘See for Yourself’ campaign.
We filmed in the Gutu region of Zimbabwe, at and around one of Oxfam’s large irrigation projects. With the duckrabbit/Oxfam team was British Oxfam supporter Jodie Sandford who had applied for the chance to see for herself what her £3 a month donation was helping to fund.
The work produced from this trip represent a unique approach to fundraising advertising. None of the adverts or online materials were scripted – they are produced from the authentic reactions of an Oxfam supporter to what she saw and heard in Zimbabwe
We were inspired by the hard work and commitment we saw from the Oxfam team we worked with in Zimbabwe and in Oxford who showed us exactly why £3 a month is such a great investment.
