St.Anne’s Park hero

My son is my hero. Today more than ever.

Our local council, Bristol, has decided that to improve our local parks, which is a good idea, they will sell large parts of them for housing. Bad idea.

There is a tiny park behind our house, St.Anne’s Park. The council want to whack dozens of new properties on there. This has understandably upset all the locals, including my son. Upon hearing the news he decided that he wanted to be chained to his favourite tree in protest. That tree would go, hence his decision to chain himself to it. Not only that, but Louie and his mate Ed decided to get a petition together against the plan. All within a day of the news being announced, and all off his own bat. I was so impressed that I took a snap and pinged it in to the local ‘paper.

I had a reporter on the phone this morning at some ungodly hour getting all worked up about ‘what a wonderful story it is’ Fair enough. I agree.

He’s coming around in twenty minutes to interview Lou and Ed.

I’d better go and unlock them. I hope I can find the key.
