If you don’t get why equality

should be the one and only millennium development goal then watch this important and disturbing film.

I apologize for the tiny size of this film which does not in any way do the work justice. For some reason Mediastorm insist the film is either embedded at a width of 460 or 1000 pixels. 460 is too small and 1000 will be too big for many screens. Please Mediastorm do this work the justice it deserves and allow embeds at 800 pixels.

I’ve just noticed that there is an advert running at the front of this film. Honestly I don’t get it. Mediastorm expect you to sit through some crap advert, then fifteen seconds of their corporate logo before we can actually get into this important story about the genocide of the female sex in India (or otherwise)?

If I knew there was an advert I would have never embedded the film (duckrabbit are ad free), which I’ve taken down and  I encourage you to go and see the film ad free and in much better size on the Mediastorm website here.

The website suggests that this film (or maybe just the photography?) was funded by the Alexia Foundation. If that’s true maybe they can bung Brian a few extra dollars so he can take the adverts off? Maybe also save the fifteen second corporate logo for the backend?

More people will watch the film and take home it’s message. That’s what’s important right?  Or am I just really stupid and naive?

Honestly I understand the need to bring in revenue and there’s a good chance that Mediastorm may have put some of their own cash into this. They are terrific and deserve every penny they earn, but this really doesn’t work for me.
