You’ve got to love a video that takes the piss out of DLSR video geeks

I can never get my head round the people who are selling video on the DLSR through their blogs, but work with thousands of pounds of add on equipment to get their videos looking perfect.

If you’re the same watch this very funny vid.

    That’s really funny.

By the way, my 40 min documentary shot entirely on DSLR with bits added to it is showing at Tate Modern on the 11th July from 6.30 pm. Come along.

Hysterical. Thanks for posting this. I noticed the CRAP initials in the pseudo-company logo as well.

The same has always been true in stills as well. If you show up with a huge entourage you must be good, no matter what the final photo looks like. If you show up to a corporate shoot with just a camera body and a couple of lenses you will get no respect, even if you’re HCB, or Nick Turpin!

Just kidding there – Go to the Tate Modern and see Nick’s film, produced with a very small rig indeed. I know, I watched him make it.

  3. The “Passion Aggression” chassis; absolute must for video DSLR shooters: http://www.duckrabbit.info/2011/06/class/ 😉

Can’t do any better than the tiny Olympus Pen. Gorgeous video and sound. And no one notices. And you don’t need a staff.
