Well they’ve done a pretty good job of getting an awful lot of people to buy an awful lot of stuff they don’t need, me included. (not least photogs!)
Banksy is right. Fine art is full of delusions.
Actually, not sure a lot of it even reaches the level of ‘delusion’.
Not sure why fine artists reluctant to call themselves commercial. They promote their work at every chance. Ad creatives do it for money. But they dont pretend there is a higher reason to make art.
