Citizen reporting finally delivers
Written by duckrabbitFor newspapers and media outlets user generated content is problematic. Many have been slow to get their heads round the possibilities of web 2. But here is an example that I find incredibly inspiring because of its ability to deliver amazing diversity of opinion and response.
Mainstream media is now starting to do many of the things that we used to kick it for not doing. It is being forced to open up its channels to the people. A whole new rich tapestry is emerging.
And guess what … PHOTOGRAPHY is leading the way.

I went to the largest movie theater in San Francisco this weekend, the Sony Metreon. Incredibly, the Sony store inside it is now dark and vacant. Even Sony can’t afford to live in its own home anymore!
