Lahore Bombing/Journal Entry
Lahore… As I was preparing to leave tonight there was a terrible bombing in Lahore. We dispatched and I’ve just spent the past two hours walking through the smoldering ruins of a market for kids shoes and women’s clothes. They were picking steaming pieces of blackened bodies out of the mess. It was dark and the water was everywhere. I am leaving in an hour for the airport and find this ending bizarre and unsettling. At least 34 were killed and possibly 100 wounded…these attacks make no sense. My head is aching and my nose and lungs are still filled with the smells of the fire.
