I’m sorry but how does the audience’s expectations toward media change the terms of contracts? Unless their revenue is taking a hit and they are trying to reduce their bottom line by bringing out these contracts. I would never work under such rights.
The real issue is what they pay. If you get a good whack for your work then enough people will accept the terms to have a sustainable industry, but if they pay tiny fees and then take away your rights, well where’s the future in that?
