Had NO idea the number was so high- how many people do?

Definitely one statistic that should be used as a recruitment incentive.

I just read that Joe Dwyer story- and it’s as sad as life can get. Compound that with all the stories that we will never hear of all the innocent women and children who were killed in Iraq for no good goddamn reason- other than for the greed and avarice of a wretched few who throughout history have preyed on the young, the innocent, the well meaning.

The story seems to offer some small aftermath of hope- new treatments that promise some small hope of psychological healing. Only to then learn that “about 60 percent of the veterans who undergo this therapy regime are eventually healthy enough to return to duty.” All fixed up so we can break them apart all over again! As for the other 40%…

What can you say … its all so fucked up. Everyone is a victim of war except the bastards making all the cash. And they’ve sold their souls to the devil.

  3. That is an amazingly strong story. Terribly sad, but important.

    Yeah … heavy.
