Why Apple Birmingham suck
Written by duckrabbitThe end of the powersupply on my MACBOOK has just literally snapped off. Its one of a number of design faults with my MACBOOK that have needed to be sorted. Anywhere else you just take the faulty part into the shop and they will assess and replace it. Not at MAC, they want me to wait two working days before anyone will even glance at it.
I love my MACBOOK but I’m going back to PC, merely because MAC seem to have complete contempt for the needs of their customers.

Power supplies are notoriously shite. I even had one that burst into flames. Apple is appalling at aftermarket, have been since they decimated their reseller network back in the 90s. Buy a greymarket one on eBay, they are cheap as chips, it’s what we all do.
I dont know about everyone else but iv had nothing but excellent service from apple.
I have a macbook pro which is around 3-4 years old and i have had my battery replaced 3 times for free, (first one was faulty and second effected by powersurge or something) i just took it to the store and they replaced it then and there.
my power cable had a similar problem and they just replaced it, for free.
you want to go back to PC?!?…..ok…..just breathe and think about what you just said.

Ok I know the Mac people seem pretty difficult but I had my battery replaced, the motherboard replaced and everything tested for free in just a few days.
I must admit I did go to a smaller shop so maybe the service was a bit quicker but I am with Duncan… you need to think it over OK!
I know its like having a fight with your lover and vowing never to go back but I have to say the beauty of the MacBook Pro is just too much to resist! It will always have my heart!
