Some days it seems that all roads lead to the New York Times Lens Blog
Written by duckrabbitThat the blog is edited by a photographer both with enormous talent and integrity and whom is still very much in love with the still image is one of the key reasons (@jamesestrin).
Everyday the Lens blog is a reminder that photography is alive and kicking.
If you have a spare ten minutes take a little journey.
Start with this story on LENS about white poverty in South Africa.
Then turn your eye to John Edwin Mason’s blog and get the story under the story. (Incidentally anotherĀ photographer both with enormous talent and integrity and whom is still very much in love with the still image)
It just goes to show, that even if some days it feels like all roads lead to LENS, very often the road will take you out the other side and elsewhere. That’s the beauty of the net and especially of blogging. I love it.

I agree. I’m a big fan of NY Times Lens blog, because the photos are superb and edited as if they are for real exhibition. I trawl through photo galleries online everyday and happy to say that NY Times Lens resonates a bit more on me than others. Maybe the balance/healthy respect between the photos and words.
