‘Standing against Morel, Harrington and Leroy have very conveniently adopted a legal posture, but by avoiding questioning the rules and by refusing to even consider the new ways photographers actually work, they’ve disconnected themselves from the future.

How many photographers are using the Social networking websites? How many are building their careers with those new tools? How many are interacting with photo editors, clients and people through those sites? How many Flickr accounts do Pros have? How many Pro/personal hybrids profile on Facebook are used by photographers to PROMOTE their Work? Are they all wrong? (I don’t even mention here the designers and artists using the same platforms for the exact same purpose). Instead of promoting the adaption of old rules to new habits, a clear message is sent to the “newbies”, the students and the established professionals: your deviant practices will be considered heretic and sanctioned.’
