In Cold Blood

Joseph Rodriguez brought this strong work to my attention by one of his ex students.

‘Six Romani people including a five-year-old boy were shot dead in a series of attacks between the Summer of 2008 and 2009 in Hungary. The photographs show the relatives of victims and those who were injured in the attacks. In August 2009 four men were arrested in connection of the shootings. One of their lawyers claimed that the attackers were to provoke civil war between ethnic Romani people and Hungarians. I have been taking photographs of the survivors since 2009.; Balázs Turay
