The Visualisation of Information: Photography and new forms of story telling.

To survive online, information has to be visually innovative. This is a lovely piece using augmented reality and I am sure there are many things about this piece that photographic based multimedia producers can learn from.

The competition for the distribution of information is intense. In 4 minutes, Hans Rosling is able to tell a story of the world’s past, present and future development with context. I see no reason why images cannot be used in these contexts.

Imagine the collaborations, how exciting!!!

  1. The technology is pretty smart but Hans does pretty well with a few boxes as well http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/hans_rosling_on_global_population_growth.html
He really stands out for me as an academic who is also a showman.
