True story, Bernard Butler and Me

When I was sixteen Bernard Butler put me on the guestlist to see Suede at Leicester De Montford in exchange for some home-made (by me) flapjack.

Of course he later walked out on Suede and went on to become a great music producer/songwriters, penning and producing many of the songs on Duffy’s first album.

Just goes to prove you can be both a genius and incredibly nice.

Why this tonight? Some sadness came over me and this is the song getting me through.

Thanks Bernard, may you never run out of flapjack.
