In the fear and loathing that is ‘awards’ season

it’s always good to see something truly brilliant and original get recognized for exactly that. (PHOP Most Creative Fundraiser Just Giving AWARDS)

On the subject of awards (David said it much better in his last post) I’ve always enjoyed looking at the World Press Awards winners gallery, but this year it left me feeling sick. That would be OK if I was motivated to heal my sickness by doing something that will make the world a better place. It didn’t. It made me want to roll a spliff and lie down in a dark room.

Honestly speaking, I think the world would be a better place if less people stopped trying to save it through photos and took up knitting.

But definitely not the Estrin’s of the world.

“It made me want to roll a spliff and lie down in a dark room.” God, that makes a good cross-stitch piece.

Way to go Pete. Knit one, win one. Cosy.
