“There is a time for departure even when there’s no certain place to go.”

How could I not love this photofilm by Veronika Lukasova with a tune that good?

It is 1987 and Zbrojovka worker, let’s call him Josef, dreams about women and new Skoda car. He put up posters on the wall of his little lunch cabin, on a side of the big warehouse, where he works. The Zbrojovka factory, big industrial complex in Brno, Czech Republic, ceased production in 2006 after it became bankrupt . Zbrojovka had 20 hectares of factory space in Brno, close to the city center, now abandoned. Zbrojovka has been one of the premier samples of serial production and in the mid-20s became one of the biggest rifle manufacturers in the world. Several plans have been made to either raze the buildings to create a massive shopping center or use them to house it. …….in the quiet, vast, deteriorating halls full of industrial lubricant smell, the time is still and walls adorned with posters of film stars, period nudes and idols of the era fill the air, eyes and send you daydreaming..
