8 Rules of Audio

‘Nothing says “amateur” like bad audio. It doesn’t matter how powerful an interview is if your viewers can’t understand it, and all it takes is a little wind in the mic or the stutter of a nearby cellphone signal to distract them from your message. If you want a quality video on all fronts, first invest in decent audio equipment (check out some good DSLR mic reviews here, here, and here).
