Is this a joke?
Written by duckrabbit
Yes (a sick one if you live in the camp)
No (if you’re the agency that paid over $200000 for the game)
Do watch the video though and allow yourself a gobsmacked guilty chuckle.

“Ridiculous!” was the first thing I thought, and I couldn’t even chuckle at all. I could just stare, and only seconds into the film I asked myself what kind of sick, ridiculous joke this is. Who came up with an idea like that? A game, yes, it would seem logical that a help organisation would want to educate about crisis management and everything else, but a game?? For farks sake, so if you “win” the game, what have you achieved? What have you taught the players? What are you educating the world with here? And what if you lose? What if all your “little refugees” turn into heaps of bones? Ah… well, you don’t really lose, right? It’s just a game! And after all, what are a few refugees dying if we “save” the rest!
I’m with you Thomas … but it felt so much like a spoof I couldn’t but help laugh. Unbelievable.
This IS a joke right???
It has to be … BUT … I don’t think its is!
Looks like there is a game in facebook, and it does appear genuine. But really ‘Play the game and win your chance to visit the World’s largest refugee camp’.
What next?
