I have no sympathy for Osama Bin Laden whatsoever

but I’m amazed that the US Government can put out a statement today saying with a straight face that when they flew helicopters into Pakistan, blew up a compound and shot dead an unarmed man in his pajamas, this was legal because they were acting in ‘self defense’?

That said we’ve been knocking innocent (and not so innocent) people off with drones for years and no-one seems to care about that …
