Can I have one of these please?

I want to go to the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation in Tokyo..they’ve got one of these:

“The globe was installed to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the museum, as a result of Executive Director Mamoru Mohri “wanting to share with people the sight of our beautiful Earth as seen from space.”

I like the sound of Mamoru.

The display features constantly updated satellite images of the earth and it’s magic. I don’t think it’ll fit in my bedroom though. Maybe the hall, I’ll see.

Thanks so much for sharing this! It IS amazing.

We need these everywhere – so many more can appreciate the incredible planet that we share with millions of other species. This gem in the universe – the magical planet Earth!

“There are no boundaries in the real Planet Earth. No United States, no Russia, no China, no Taiwan. Rivers flow unimpeded across the swaths of continents. The persistent tides the pulse of the sea do not discriminate; they push against all the varied shores on Earth.” – Jacques Cousteau

Cool! Does it show the radioactive cloud originating in Fukushima and disseminating into the ocean and the rest of the world? Or how about this…
