Shoot Rod Stewart!!

“Rod Stewart is inviting aspiring photographers to submit one original photograph that captures ‘soul’ for the chance to travel to Las Vegas to photograph the legendary singer. Rod will personally select the winners and the winner will receive a photo pass to capture the legendary singer performing his magic at one of his shows at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in November 2011. Travel and 2 nights’ accommodation will be provided. A selection of the winner’s photos from the performance will be featured on rodstewart.com and across Rod Stewart’s social media channels. That maybe attractive if Vegas wasn’t such a shithole, and Rod Stewart played fair:

• The winner shall grant ownership of all rights in and to the intellectual property to the photographs of the show to Rod Stewart.
• The winner must receive written approval, in advance, from Rod Stewart to publish or sell any of the photographs, or use them in any manner other than for promotional purposes.

Etc, etc, retch.

    I sometimes shoot gigs. I only request the musicians to grant me on writing all the rights to any songs they were performing during the photographs that I took.
