“Russia classifies beer as alcoholic”

Up until now apparently anything under 10% alcohol has been classed as a foodstuff. That would explain how I got so terrifyingly, horrifically pissed whilst, er, ‘eating’ all day and evening whilst in Moscow once. And I was still hungry after! Gotta watch those Russian picnics.
