Nikon D4 to have Verifeye technology?
Written by David WhiteHere’s a turn up..rumours are suggesting that the new Nikon D4 will have what Nikon are calling ‘Verifeye’ technology…
Basically it appears that the camera produces a hard copy ( a bit like a polaroid, so maybe their resurgence is related? ), from the RAW, of every shot if asked to do so, in negative form.
Why? Why? well, it is in response to the continued debates surrounding what is acceptable in editorial photography and photojournalism. Nikon’s pj tool will be able to prove to doubters that what the photographer published/entered/whatever, was the TRUTH. That’ll sell like hot cakes to honest snappers.
Next up…the D5 will tell you where to stand, when to take the pic, whether you should even go on the job, and also be capable, with the included 10-1000 aerial aspherical, of being able to take an aerial 360 panorama from all angles at once. That sort of means that the D4 will not really be getting the TRUTH, but it’s a start.
The D6 will be able to do all of the above, and shoot in 8×10, because large format never lies.

Can it teach you how to become a hairdresser? I hear there’s more money in that …
It does have a mirror.
yeahwell i heard the new Leica M56 can shoot the stills and video for you, and HDR them all, while you are relaxing down the pub
That is obvious nonsense.
