Clause 43 is OUT !!!!!

Due to relentless pressure from many photographers and certain photographer groups, the controversial Clause 43 was been dropped last night from the Digital Economy Bill. That is a seriously good result for photographers.
I am very impressed by the organisational skills of a few photographers, primarily those from EPUK, who pushed this campaign hard and who set up the STOP 43 website. Thankyou. EPUK has more brains and gumption than all the other supposed photo organisations put together…some of whom seem intent in accepting the ludicrous clause so that they could get a slice of the licensing pie. Most of the rest were just pathetic.
