Getty loves Flickr, natch.

“It is generally thought the average rate for an image is between $150-$240 (£100-£160).”

By who?

Absolute b$ll£cks.

More like £20 on a good day.

And what’s the creator’s percentage? 10-1 it’s less than Getty’s.

OOOhhh…what a surprise…:

“Photographers receive 30% of each rights-managed sale and 20% for royalty-free stills.”

And the queue will be around the block.

That article was a joke … the figures were rubbish and the journalist only had to ask Getty to find out. It reads like publicity for the company. Dissapointed to see that on the BBC website.
