AOP awards..and the winners are..

It’s that time of the day again, AOP awards time. 15.28 by my watch.

Click here to have a Visual Feast. A right smorgasbord, like.

The gallery is pants mind, you have to keep going back to the thumbnails rather then flicking through. Plus there are no captions or context for any image that I can see. Those gripes aside, there really is some fascinating work there. I went straight to the ‘Commissioned Documentary’ section, and found something by Marcus Bleasdale. I think he might need to come on a duckrabbit training course to sort out his flapping elbows. I think there is a gun in one of the pictures 🙂 At least Marcus’ work has some energy…all the other categories and images seem very static, feeling very constrained. I am definitely liking Julia Fullerton-Batten’s work though..yet again she’s creating beautiful and fascinating images.

Is that Bleasdale picture a piss take?
