I was going to do a piece on how the Daily Fail are using “© The internet” as some sort of spurious justification for nicking images off the tintertwizzle. Jeremy has written it up way better than I would, so pop on over and have a look.
I hope that Mavrix photo ( who are suing the Fail for $150,000 per nicked image) win, they surely deserve to. I wish we in the UK had those sort of damages…in the UK we are only allowed to issue a retrospective license for the SAME AMOUNT as if the client had paid for the image in the first place. No punitive damages allowed in law. No wonder the less honest.’papers half inch things. If the Fail get their arse whipped maybe they’ll think twice in future, the thieving bastards.
