McCabe, Decade @PDN

Interesting piece over there chatting with Eamonn McCabe and his image choices for the Phaidon ‘Decade’ book.

I had a look at the mini gallery, and there seems to be a problem…about half are in negative. First time I’ve seen that. At first I thought the negative bus bombing picture was a statement by the photographer. Then I remembered that I was looking at a pic chosen by Eamonn and shot by Peter Macdiarmid (who incidentally got a great shot of Julian Assange tapping his nose whilst in the Police van today). Neither of them do ‘statements’ as far as I’m aware, and I’m glad of that.

The book looks great, and Eamonn makes good points in there. One for the Christmas stocking I think.
