Photojournalism has been resuscitated. Gasp.

Is it dead?

Is it alive?

Is it somewhere in between, choking on its own vomit?

So many questions, so little medical expertise.

Is there a doctor in the house?

I think the doctor gave up, packed his bags and left. I heard he got bored listening to people saying ‘photojournalism is dead’. And, whatever the industry oracles and soothsayers say, or have EVER said, people will always take pictures…

    VIVA photography!

    VIVA storytelling!

    VIVA messengers!

    Great stuff Jenny!!!

I just wished those who run the industry of the medium do it better for all those shooters giving their hearts to the business.

They need to see some return too!

Anyway, what a rubbish debate the media is having.

Why don’t we ask “How can Photojournalism be better?”

Surely that is much more important!!!!

You say, “what a rubbish debate the media is having.”

      Indeed. It’s getting boring.

On that point, here’s a nice quote from the BJP article:

“Photojournalism is alive, it’s just very hungry,” says Luceo photographer Matt Eich. “Hungry for work, for outlets, hungry for the next step.”

The hacks golden rule: “The press don’t cover press, the press don’t get covered by press.” Photojournalists don’t cover…. (fill in the blank).
