awesome find
People referred to Ireland as a Celtic Tiger (like the Asian Tigers) after their booming economy following tax liberalization. The ministers have been complaining for a while about the obvious bubble in the economy but unable to do anything about it because of the power of the European Central Bank (i.e. the Irish couldn’t raise interest rates to slow the bubble).
Yea, I know Joshua, but thanks…how many people in Ireland have ever seen a tiger? Why not call it the Celtic giraffe?
Every cent of income tax that you (the Irish) pay for the next two to three years will go to repay Anglo’s losses, every cent for the following two years will go on AIB, and every cent for the next year and a half on the others.
Astonishing.
Bankers in Ireland feel the pain?
