Giving away 25 Leica M9 iphone 4 skins – YES THEY’RE FREE…..with a bit of a catch!

This post is part top-tip and part blatant self-promotion. Before Christmas I saw this very cool link to someone who had turned a Leica into a skin for the iphone 4. They were based in America and weren’t selling them. So I decided to make some for myself and use them as Christmas gifts to my clients and hot contacts. Because they cost me a small fortune to make and get printed, I didn’t want to give away all 100 so I carefully selected 50 people to send them to. It worked as I got two commissions out of it. It also helped that I customised the writing on the lens to have my website and telephone number. So they had my contact details in their pocket as well a cool-looking skin. Plus, arty creative types love anything to do with Apple so most of them had the iphone 4 anyway. Making a skin is pretty easy if you’re thinking of trying it. They do make great promotional tools that clients really like.

And now I’m giving away 25 (to UK residents only I’m afraid). The only catch is that you must have a job where you commission photography or video in the uk. I’m looking to increase my contacts by giving away a few of these. So if you’re a photo editor, commissioning editor please send an email to carl@carlpendle.com telling me you commission photography/video then I shall pop one in the post.

For everyone else, I’m really sorry but at least I gave away a nice little promotional top tip, if that counts for anything.

apologies for my ignorance on this (and no, I don’t qualify for your offer) but is this a digital skin as in a wallpaper type thing, or a physical add-on? it’s not clear from the picture…
