Proper job. Photography, Olympics, what more d’ya want?

“Working as part of the Press Operations team, a Venue Photo Manager will be appointed to each of the venues to manage photo operations during Games time”.

Key knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications required:

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of the photojournalism industry
  • Experience in managing photographers at sports events
  • Understanding of the needs of international media organisations working at major events
  • Comfortable in speaking to the media
  • Experience in leading and motivating people
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in managing photographers at the Olympic Games or other major multi sport events a distinct advantage
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential

Key competencies and behaviours:

  • • Ability to follow guidelines and implement policies
  • Ability to work as part of a large team
  • Strong management and customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Sound administrative skills

The London 2012 Olympics need Venue Photo managers.
