You are going to the Format Festival, right?

There is no excuse for you not making it up to Derby sometime between 4th March and the 3rd April.

The Format International Photography Festival has got such a massive and diverse range of quality offerings around photography it’s just not funny.

You’d have to be Robert Capa to not get something out of it. Bit of blurb:

The biennale programme celebrates the wealth of contemporary practice in international photography. FORMAT is focused on developing opportunities for audiences to see, debate, develop and engage in the best of what photography is and can be. The festival is a unique opportunity to see and engage in contemporary photography and to hear what is happening ‘right here, right now'”

Click that quote to be amazed at what else is going on…talks by some of the world’s greatest photographers, portfolio reviews, workshops, slideslams, parties, dj’s, books, street photography, cameras, girls, boys,…andonandonandon…

Plus, of course, way down the list of grand names, you’ll find Pinky and Perky explaining why you can’t ignore new methods of storytelling, and how to generate income through them. It’ll cost you £45. You’ll probably spend that this weekend getting pissed and wondering where it all went wrong. Sod that, come to our workshop. We share all our knowledge, including how to make proper money. If you are a photographer reading this then I really think you should consider attending. Can you afford not to?
