206 arts organisations cut…

For the equivalent cost of this lot..

Ten Apache helicopters. £100 million off 206 arts orgs, including many photography orientated, vs ten Apaches at an average cost of about £10 million each ( Extra cost for metallic paint and cup holders).

But it’s not all bad news…everyone’s favourite, The Photographers’ Gallery, is having it’s funding increased. Which is nice. That is what has enabled them to pay the £2.7 million I demanded for my “Apache decagon artsdeath 3”  image above. It’s like a Gursky, but shit loads better, so they’ve got a bargain.

I don’t know, Dave. The gov want people to get off welfare – then they cut the fundings, to make even more people depend on welfare.

So, anyone cares to answer The Big Society’s question: “The Big Society is a society in which individual citizens feel big: big in terms of being supported and enabled; having real and regular influence; being capable of creating change in their neighbourhood. Does our society pass this test at the moment?” http://thebigsociety.co.uk/what-is-big-society/
