The camera never lies…unless you’re ugly…
Written by David WhiteGo get yourself a new Panasonic Lumix FX77. Said camera will whiten your teeth, increase the translucency of your skin, remove dark eye circles, make your face look smaller and even magnify the size of your eyes. It will then add ‘make up’ to your face too if you so wish…rouge, lip stick and eye shadow. I’m not joking. Magnum are giving Seven to each of their photographers ( now I am joking).
Akiko Enoki, a Panasonic project manager , said “According to data we’ve acquired, around 50 percent of our digital camera clients are not satisfied with the way their faces look in a photograph.”
Maybe that’s because 50% of people are pig ugly. Or insecure. Or half blind, or normal…I don’t know.
I think they missed a trick here…there should also be a button that plays a little voice giving you reassuring platitudes about your worth, beauty and photographic talent. That’d sell like hot cakes….imagine….click….”ooohh,, David, you are handsome. That was a fabulous capture, you are showing great skill. And don’t forget, you are a precious and beautiful person”.

There’s an app for that.
There is no such term as ugly in the days where every kid gets a gold star for… well nothing much really…
People generally need to face reality, not create reality. Shame there is a market demand for it.
