Here’s a snippet of what’s in Justin Mott’s bag….I have to say I am a bit disappointed that he does not knit his own Doctor Who scarves, after all, it’s so easy…

 

#8-Silk and Lotus Weave Burmese Scarf. That’s right you heard me correctly I said lotus weave. “Justin a lotus weave would take forever to make, it must be ridiculously expensive.” The price a whopping $50 but worth every dollar. This exquisite scarf takes over a month to make and can only be found in remote parts of Burma. Don’t even try to go find this scarf, it will find you if you are ready for it but I seriously doubt you are. The light silk and textured lotus fiber blend in perfect harmony to delight the neck with its soft yet rugged feel. Don’t be thrown off by its appearance. It may look like a cousin to the #6 Standard Sized Cotton Krama but there most certainly is no blood relation. Don’t you dare insult this hand crafted gem and ever wear it for anything outside lecturing, global exhibitions, private screenings, and award ceremonies honoring yourself of course.

    Mott’s post details rather more than the Burmese lotus weave scarf, but I would second the commenter on the original post who finds the lack of keffiyeh rather insensitive to those photographing in the Middle East/North Africa region.
